New litter born 15 September

On 15 September (N)Ororina's Queen Makeda (ABY a) gave birth to three girls and one boy. The father is (N)Ororina's Jingle Bells (ABY n). Now, the litter is 8 days old, and all four have lovely, big baby bellies. They are so satisfied that they do not bother to say anything when I lift them up to carefully cuddle with them.

Because they are born 100 years after the writer Roald Dahl, I decided to name up the kids after characters from his literary work.

  • Matilda from the novel with the same name
  • Sophie, the little girl in Big Friendly Giant.
  • Fifinella, what they called the female gremlins in Gremlins.
  • George from the novel George's Marvellous Medicine

Here you have photos of the babies:

Jingle Bells - 12 weeks old

Time goes really quick! Now, my little baby boy has become 12 weeks old. I'm in negotiations with a possible family who wants a new family member. I'm agree with them, the best family member ever must be an abyssinian cat ;) If everything goes as planned, he'll get a new home during Easter.

Christmas Song Litter - 6 weeks old.

The kittens have become more active, and it's a bit hard to make them sit still so we can take photos of them. Here is our last try:

From left: Walking in the Air, Santa Baby and Jingle Bells

Let me introduce them one by one:

Walking in the Air - 6 weeks old - ABY n, female

She has always been the biggest one in the litter, and she was the first one to climb out of the kitten pen. She has a nice, soft profile and ok ear placement, but the colour of the fur is still a bit too light, but warm.

Santa Baby - 6 weeks old - ABY o female

Santa is the calmest kitten in the litter, and mostly, she sit and look at her siblings running around in the pen. It seems like she thinks that she prefer to let the other do the investigation, and then she can learn of their mistaces. Her colour is warm and rich. She has a good, soft profile and a nice earplacement. At the moment I think she is the best one in her litter.

Jingle Bells - 6 weeks old - ABY n male

Jingle Bells did not have time to be a photo model, so we had to be very patient and take lots of photos of him; most of the photos you can see only his back leg or tail, or a blury picture of him. So these two photos is the best one we managed to take of him. He is very tiny in relation to his sisters, but I suppose he will grow past them in a few weeks. His colour is very dark, and when he was born, he was completely black on the top of his head, tail and on his back. The under coat is also dark and warm, so I think his colour will become his strongest card. At the moment, his head looks ok, but as I feel that he develope a bit slower than his sisters, I will let him have a bit more time before I make up my mind.

Their parents are: IC S*Strandtriften's Adrian and (N)Ororina's Birrahgnooloo. Both ABY n (ruddy)

Christmas Song Litter - 3 weeks old

On 12 December 2014, (N)Ororina's Birrahgnooloo became mother to a litter on three kittens; two girls and one boy. The father is IC S*Strandtriften's Adrian.

Tomorrow, the kittens will be 3 weeks old, and it's time to show them to the world :)

(N)Ororina's Walking in the Air (ABY n)

(N)Ororina's Jingle Bells (ABY n) and (N)Ororina's Santa Baby (ABY o)
My sister said that Jingle Bells could be named Mr NoBells after he has been neuter. What a funny sister I have... O.o

Santa Baby and Jingle Bells where very tiny when they were born, but they have both shown us that they are real fighters. They are still much more tiny than Walking in the Air (I must find her a nick name), but soon they are going to start eating by them selves, so I think the differences between their weights quickly will wanish. They both have round and cute baby bellies, so Birrahgnooloo has still enough milk for them.

If you wonder, they are named up after Christmas Songs.
